Funding model

We are committed to our free calculator  and do not foresee any change to the free access for web users to get a quick simple calculation of the greenhouse gas emissions from their land based business.

However, from our mailbag and personal contacts, we know that some clients want more precision and appreciate that this will incur a charge for development and continual updating as the science progresses.  

We have adapted our funding model on the request of our users. Initially we charged an annual membership fee but were told that some clients did not want to pay for a whole year’s access when they only wanted to use the calculator once to compute their current greenhouse gas budget. Agricultural consultants also told us they would prefer to pay each time they used the calculator rather than an annual fee as it would offer greater transparency with their clients, but thought there should a discount if you bought 5 or 10 ‘calculation clicks’.

 So we have listened and implemented these requests.

The table below details the current (June 2009) charging structure. The prices are quoted in UK pounds (ex VAT) and will be converted by PayPal to  your local currency.
